Frith Hare sculpture Hilda, moon gazing
Hare Hilda
A touching female hare staring at the moon: the "moongazing hare" is said to be the ancient symbol of fertility. The hare was sculpted by wildlife sculptor Paul Jenkins, who made it exclusively for Frith out of wax, so that it could be reproduced in cold cast bronze. The sculpture was finished and polished by hand. Dimensions: H 18 x W 12 cm.
Material:
Cold cast bronze does not need to be heated to cast it. This is because the material is composed of a mixture of resin and powdered bronze. This results, among other things, in time savings, so that such an image can be made more favourable and can be offered at a more attractive price. Because of a specific production process, this hare can be placed indoors as well as outdoors.
