Escher - Air and Water
Mathematical artwork created after the original of the artist Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898 - 1972). The work "Air and Water" is a triangle with birds changing to fish and the color of the sky changing to that of water. Air and Water I is derived from a study sheet that Escher made in June 1938. With this design, Escher applied his famous metamorphosis technique. His work is entirely consistent with his famous statement that he wanted to bring order to the chaos that everyday life often seems to be.
